Camp, caravan & glamp

Aldersroot is a registered and fully insured member of the Freedom Caravan and Camping Club (check out our registration here). Free membership is available. We offer a wild camping and glamping adventure on the fringes of London. It’s just half an hour by car and 40 minutes by public transport from the centre of the city.

The site is completely off grid, and its eco-credentials are pretty high; it’s solar powered for a low impact on the planet, and careful permaculture design techniques have been used to create the pond and young forest gardens. All profit is lovingly ploughed back into the land.

This wild corner of suburbia offers a space for people to relax and simply exist, or they can get together with others staying on the site around the communal fire, use our wood-fired sauna, try kayaking and paddleboarding or go wild swimming.

There are a few rules to aid the smooth running of the place:

• To reduce the impact on the land, it’s leave without a trace. The less you bring, the less you’ll have to take away.
• While it’s a resounding yes to music and fun on site, Aldersroot is drug and alcohol free.
• And as it’s a functioning farm with livestock, kids and dogs are not allowed to stay.
